Terms And Conditions

East Coast Coatings will refurbish all wheels to the best of our ability but cannot be responsible for unforeseen issues such as poor casting, hidden cracks or excessive corrosion. These issues may only become apparent during the repair process after the existing coating has been removed. If the Technician does not feel that a cosmetically acceptable or safe end result can be achieved, the customer will be contacted immediately to discuss options before any further work is undertaken.

East Coast Coatings reserve the right to refuse to complete the refurbishment process if they discover at any point the wheel will not in the opinion of the Technician be safe / legal.

Wheel refurbishment is just that, it is not a new wheel – on occasion a ‘used’ alloy will not look 100% perfect after its refurbishment. We ask all customers to appreciate the work done and the quality of finish for a fraction of the cost of a new wheel. Customers should be aware that certain high gloss finishes show blemishes more readily, such as Black Chrome or polished and East Coast Coatings cannot guarantee a perfect finish but will make every endeavour to do so.

East Coast Coatings will endeavour to adhere to any estimated repair times given, however cannot be responsible for unforeseen circumstances which may delay an appointment time or repair.

East Coast Coatings will only supply specialist valves when requested by the customer and at the customer’s expense. East Coast Coatings accepts no liability for leaks around old valves when re-fitted at the customer’s request.

Many vehicles are fitted with special pressure sensing valves which are often subject to damage during the tyre removal / bead breaking process. We are unable to take responsibility for the valves and suggest the customer has them removed prior to repair. Please refer to your vehicle handbook for instructions on how to recalibrate them to your vehicle.

East Coast Coatings is not responsible for resetting any vehicle systems used for monitoring tyre pressures. Please refer to your vehicle handbook for instructions on how to recalibrate them to your vehicle.

East Coast Coatings reserve the right to refuse to refit damaged or illegal tyres. The customer will be fully informed of any issues and will be asked to sign a disclaimer taking full responsibility for tyres fitted in a poor state.

Where East Coast Coatings fit wheels directly to a vehicle, staff will ensure correct air pressure and wheel bolts are correctly torqued using appropriate tools. Customers are required to re-check these after an initial bedding in period of 50 miles after the repair, and at regular intervals from then on as part of a standard maintenance routine.

All vehicles must be covered by their own insurance whilst being left with East Coast Coatings and must be supplied with the locking wheel nut key for removing and fitting wheels where applicable. East Coast Coatings accepts no liability for goods or articles left in the vehicle.

Vehicles / Wheels will not be released until payment is made in full. For information regarding methods of payment please speak to your technician or call East Coast Coatings Head Office on 07427565994. East Coast Coatings will make every effort to contact customers with regard to collecting their wheels, however wheels not collected within agreed timescales will be subject to re-sale to cover costs if they are not collected within six months from completion.

Warranty Information

Painted Wheels

Painted wheels are covered by a 12 month warranty from the date of completion.

Warranty is against any paint defect subject to the damage not being caused by lack of maintenance, cleaning the wheels with corrosive cleaners that will dull and damage laquer, or as the result of driver damage.

Diamond Cut / Polished wheels

Polished wheels / areas are covered by a 3 month warranty from the date of completion. The reduced warranty is due to the fact that lacquered bare machined alloy is not a long lasting finish and is very vulnerable to environmental factors such as our roads and weather.
